Flat Screen TV Mounted!!!
So today I completed a freelance project I was working on which included building a powerpoint presentation, mounting a flatscreen tv, and installing a computer which could interface with the tv to display upcomming events, announcements, or promotional ads at Lejoy Uniforms. One thing I learned from this experience is always measure… The TV install side went great, we measured, and double measured and leveled and all was great!. The side which was not visible (power locatione and HDMI cable entrance on the other side of the wall was not so great… We drew our box directly on top of one of the studs… It actually would have been fine if we would have began cutting on the right instead of the left as you can see in the below pictures. Everything turned out ot be ok though, they are having a painter come by and do some patch work and that shouldn’t be a big deal. On the hardware I installed a Dell Studio Hybrid which is crazy small yet has an HDMI out what we here looking for. As for the TV itself we found a blackfriday deal that was out of this world. Digital Lifestyle 42″ 720 for 550.00 (after shipping). Most hardware was purchased from Monoprice including the TV Mount, Power kit so the electrical wiring would be up to electrical code, In wall HDMI cables. The rest of the hardware was picked up at home depot. We used Toggle bolts to mount the TV to metal studs. 4 Toggles did the trick, and it is as sturdy as anything. Overall it was a great experience and it feels so good to have completed that. PLUG - If you are ever in Downtown Birmingham, AL you should go check it out.
